Musical Improv Drop-In Workshop with Jon Mizler

Learn how to improvise songs and have a laugh with friendly like-minded people.

In these musical improv drop-in workshops, you'll explore various styles of improvised singing. Each week offers a new experience. One week, we might practice some of our favourite improvised song games together; another week, we could focus on musical storytelling. We may even learn how to create full musical theatre numbers from scratch. It's a lot of fun, constantly inventing lyrics on the spot in a friendly and supportive setting.

We recommend you either have some singing experience or some improv experience, but brave newcomers are welcome too! In the workshop we will play warm-up games and exercises that will help you to land rhymes, create beautiful lyrics, and find the rhythm of a song.

This class is open to absolutely anyone (18+).
