COVID-19 Policy


All Dingbats Improv in-person events take place at The Archway Theatre in Horley and therefore we follow their COVID-19 policy. The Archway Theatre are accredited by UK Theatre ‘See it Safely’ and Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’. In order to obtain these accreditations, they have had to demonstrate that their procedures and processes meet SAGE guidelines. You can the guidelines on the Archway Theatre’s website. If attending an in-person event, please also adhere to our rules below:

Before attending

  • All tickets must be bought in advance, there will no tickets available on the door. This is to ensure that there is no handling of cash, and that we have a list of everyone in attendance so we can contact people if another attendee tests positive after they attended the event

  • If you are showing the symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the event. You can let us know by emailing Please see our terms and conditions for more information about our refund policy

  • We advise that attendees are carrying out twice weekly lateral flow tests

  • Where possibly we recommend driving, cycling, or walking to the venue to avoid exposure on public transport

When you arrive


  • On entry you must sanitise your hands with the sanitiser provided

  • You must provide proof of an NHS negative lateral flow or PCR test taken within the last 48 hours before the event or proof of double vaccination. You can order lateral flow tests to be sent to your home from the Government website. Negative test results or vaccination can be demonstrated with an email, text message or print out, or via the NHS App. Even if your lateral flow test is negative, but you are showing the symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the workshop

  • You must scan the QR code on the NHS Covid App when you arrive at the venue

During the workshop


  • Please be aware of those around you and do your best to keep a 1m+ distance from each other

  • Face coverings will not be mandatory for the duration of the workshops; however, you may wear one if you wish. If you are uncomfortable without a mask, we recommend attending our online events where we can enjoy your facial expressions, hear you clearly, and you can improvise from the safety of your own home

  • In line with SAGE advice, The Archway Theatre has installed new ventilation equipment, the system is now changing the air in all areas over 6 times per hour and this will run all the time they are in occupation

  • We have reduced the number of attendees from a maximum of 16 to a maximum of 12 to limit the potential exposure

After the event


  • The studio will have be professionally cleaned before each use, so rest assured that all surfaces will have been sanitised

  • If you test positive up to 10 days after attending an event, please contact and submit a positive test on the NHS COVID-19 App so other participants who checked in using the QR code will be notified
