WHAT?
If you have been performing improvised comedy for any length of time, chances are you have performed scenes in one of the classic genres, western, science fiction, horror. But, short of the standard tropes that everybody knows, how much thought have you actually given to it? After all, these genres are something that have been around, being refined, for decades. There is so much to know!
This advanced improv course is designed for performers ready to tweak their craft and make their genre work stand out from the crowd. Over 6 weeks, we’ll dive deep into a different genre each session, honing the techniques that make them sing on stage.
Master the rhythm of action sequences, the razor-sharp wit of film noir monologues, the bold swagger of western characters, the creeping tension of horror, and more. You’ll develop precision, range, and confidence in heightening style…
