WHAT?

The further you get into performing improv, the more you begin to realise that top tier improv requires performance skills. Whilst you may have perfected how to “Yes, and…”, there is plenty more you can still add to your tool kit, courtesy of theatre.

In this 8-week course, we will be exploring how stage craft can inform and improve improv. We will develop stage skills to create more engaging, well-staged and theatrical improv.

We will start with basic theatre skills around body, voice and your presence on stage, eventually moving on to more complex ideas around theatricality and how to apply it to your improv. Topics such as intention, connection and emotion will all be examined in a playful way.
